Nathan Laurie

President

The head of the jobpostings team is what we in the industry like to call a triple threat: manager, mentor, and salesman extraordinaire. Nathan is always looking for ways to inspire and support his team. A graduate of Dalhousie University's Bachelor of Commerce co-op program, Nathan co-founded Passion Inc. with his brother Mark in their undergrad days. If you ask him what he does for fun, he’ll say “work”, but you’ll also catch him on the tennis court from time to time. He loves taking his kids on adventures in Toronto, and sometimes sits still long enough to enjoy the Saturday paper with a cup of coffee.

A young veteran from the film, government, and publishing worlds, David joined the jobpostings team with big dreams. When not in the office negotiating phone interviews, assigning game changing stories, and taking all the credit for jobpostings magazines, our Editor can be found enjoying long walks along the lakefront, flirting shamelessly on online dating sites, and eating his mother's cooking. He also reads everything, writes horror stories, enjoys far too many movies, manages multiple side businesses, rides a motorcycle, and jogs. David Tal: thinker, scallywag, and man-about-town.

Why we do it

jobpostings magazine gives students more than practical advice on education and job hunting. Driven by professional writers and editors, jobpostings explores the very nature of jobs, discussing work culture while reporting the most up-to-date trends on a variety of industries. We examine educational issues, whether it’s new grad programs, studying abroad, or avoiding the Freshman 15. Nationally distributed to over 105 universities and colleges, jobpostings magazine is published eight times a year. In addition to engaging content, each issue highlights employers that are hiring students.

jobpostings.ca is not only an extension of the magazine, it’s also a job board and a resource center. Job seekers can read up on companies in our Company Profiles, connect directly with employers, and comment on articles. Users can register for a newsletter full of tips, industry trends, and, yes, job postings. Between our magazine, blogs, and online content, the jobpostings network is unlike any other resource for keeping readers equipped with all the tools they’ll need to build their dream career.
