Grand Erie District School Board represents more than 27,000 students in 58 elementary schools and 14 secondary schools within the City of Brantford and the counties of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk, as well as students from Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. With a dedicated staff of more than 2,900, Grand Erie Is committed to learning, leading and Inspiring. The Education Centre Is located In Brantford. Unqualified occasional teachers are offered work on an as needed basis in our schools, on short notice, when permanent teachers are absent from work. Successful candidates will only be offered work when no qualified occasional teachers are available. It is our expectation that unqualified occasional teachers will have regular availability to accept assignments in some or all Grand Erie elementary schools. Interested applicants must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree and are currently working towards a Bachelor of Education degree. Applications should include a cover letter, a complete resume of experience, and the names of three professional references that can be contacted.Daily rate of pay : $213.68 per day + vacation pay.Effective Date: as soon as can be mutually arranged to June 30, 2024 for a maximum of 10 days.Applicants with a disability that requires an accommodation to enable their participation in the interview process should advise the Board when contacted for an interview.
