STEM Innovation Academy is a new public charter junior high school located in SW Calgary. Our school currently serves over 400 students in grades 7-9. We are excited to be expanding our program to high school in a new location in the fall of 2022. With a mission to inspire the next generation to be knowledgeable creators, innovators, and responsible leaders, we believe every student can be successful in STEM and should have the opportunity to learn about cutting-edge science and technology topics. Casual Guest Teacher Education and Experience Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Bachelor of Education Degree or equivalent recognized by Alberta EducationDemonstrated Skills and Competencies

The successful candidate for this position demonstrates: Strong ability to positively relate to students

Willingness to be adaptable teaching various subjects and grade levels

Good classroom management skills

Confidence, skill, knowledge and understanding of differentiated instruction, student engagement strategies, and assessment practices
