Career and Technology Studies (CTS)

Full-time Temporary

Canadian Rockies Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following position for the 2024-2025 school year.

Division III and IV, Teacher that specializes in CTS (specifically Woodworking, Media Design, Makerspace, &/or Culinary Arts)

The successful candidate will demonstrate the attributes of the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard.

In particular: Training in and experience working with students and curriculum in the applicable division.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to differentiate curriculum for all learners.

Ability to use performance assessment.

Strong understanding of outcomes-based assessment.

Excellent behaviour management skills.

Knowledge of current educational research and issues.

Excellent oral and written English.

High energy, a positive attitude and flexibility.

Experience in working as a member of a professional learning network.

Ability to work collaboratively and co-teach.

Understands and applies principles of the Teaching Effectiveness Framework.

Demonstrates skills of a child-centred Educator who embodies the Mission, Vision and Beliefs of the division.

Demonstrated ability to effectively integrate technology to enhance the learning opportunities of students.

Start Date: August 22, 2024.
