Visual Arts Teacher, Division III and IV

Full Time Probationary Canadian Rockies Public Schools is now accepting applications for a Full-Time Probationary Visual Arts Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the attributes of the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard.

In particular:

Training in and experience working with students and curriculum in the applicable division.

Ability to differentiate curriculum for all learners.

Ability to use performance assessment.

Excellent behaviour management skills.

Ability to apply outcome-based student assessment and evaluation practices.

Knowledge of current educational theory and issues.

Excellent oral and written English.

High energy, a positive attitude and flexibility.

Experience in working as a member of a Professional Learning Community.

Ability to work collaboratively and co-teach.

Understands and applies principles of the Teaching Effectiveness Framework.

Demonstrates skills of a child-centred Educator who embodies the Mission, Vision and Beliefs of the district.

Successful experience working with Indigenous students would be an asset.

Qualifications:

Current Alberta teaching certification (or be eligible).

Art experience is required. A Bachelor of Fine Arts or comparable would be an asset.

Strong communication skills.

Willing to work in any CRPS school.

Competence with current educational technology applications.

Experience teaching English Second Language Learners would be an asset.

Understands and applies principles of the Teaching Effectiveness Framework.

Start Date: August 22, 2024

End Date: June 30, 2025
