extensive academic training, professional preparation, and qualifications in teaching all areas of this assignment

knowledge of, and demonstrated application of the Ministry of Educations current philosophy, teaching practices, and evaluation/assessment/reporting procedures as applied to all areas of this assignment

Demonstrated competence and experience in teaching English First Peoples Literary Studies and Writing 11, English First Peoples 12, and Advanced Placement (AP) English Literature 12.

Preference given to a teacher with training or experience in teaching Advanced Placement including submitting syllabus to the college board

Demonstrated ability to recognize individual students differences and effectively differentiate instruction and assessment to meet the learning needs of all students in a diverse classroom for all subjects in this assignment

knowledge of, and willingness to practice, all elements of the new reporting order, including using descriptive feedback for assessing and communicating student progress and learning

demonstrated ability to motivate and provide success for students who experience difficulties with learning and require additional support through student services

demonstrated ability to recognize, acknowledge, and plan for individual student differences and to adjust instructional practices accordingly

demonstrated experience in reading, contributing to, and fulfillment of Individual Education Plans

demonstrated experience with the UDL framework planning for access points and success for all learners

demonstrated experience with the RTI framework to support student learning

demonstrated experience and continued commitment to honoring First Peoples Principles of Learning and the Indigenization of curriculum

demonstrated ability to work in a trauma-informed capacity

demonstrated ability and energy to use a variety of instructional strategies to teach secondary students
