The Gang Violence and Exploitation Prevention Coordinator will report to the District Safe School Coordinator and work with principals, School Based Teams (SBT), law enforcement, probation and social workers, First Nation and other Indigenous community staff, community service providers and other relevant agencies to provide wrap-around intervention and supports for youth targeted by, engaged or at risk of engaging in organized crime/gang activity, serious violence and/or exploitation. The focus is students across Southeast Kootenay Schools and potentially outreach to those youth not currently engaged in school.Qualifications:

>Post-secondary education in social work, counselling, criminology or other relevant field of study

>Recent experience working with at-risk youth
