Founded in 1979, Columbia International College (CIC) is the largest boarding high school in Canada. During our 44 years of history, parents from over 120 countries have placed their children in CIC care.

CIC offers the Total Care Education System to support students to achieve their goal of getting into a post-secondary institution of their choice. Our Total Care Education provides services that can support international students to meet their Academic, Social, Emotional and Physical needs.

We are currently recruiting the following positions for our May/June semester

Full Time Physical and Health Education Teacher for PPL 20 and PPL30 classes

Semester start/end: May 15 June 28, 2024

8:30 am to 5:00 pm Academic Duties include but are not limited to: Experience teaching subject matter required

Understanding and familiarity with the Physical and Health Education Curriculum

Being adequately prepared for daily teaching assignments

Preparing daily lesson plans in such a way that orderly development and progress is promoted.

All teachers shall adopt three levels of educational planning: Long range planning, Unit planning, Daily lesson planning

Conducting classes and instructing pupils in accordance with Ministry of Education and school curricular guidelines and policies.

Assessment aligned with Growing Success

Undertaking systematic, objective and continuous evaluation of the progress being made by each student, in accordance with the most recent Ministry guidelines.

Keeping accurate and systematic records of student achievement and student attendance

Co-operate with school administrative personnel and colleagues in fostering harmonious staff relations, and acting as an enthusiastic member of the school's educational team.

Additional Responsibilities The Employee shall attend and participate in all staff and department meetings, professional development activities, and professional learning day activities as determined by the principal or designate.

Academic/Educational Requirements: Undergraduate or Graduate Degree(s) in a related field of study

Ontario College of Teachers Certification preferred but not needed

Students enrolled in a consecutive or concurrent teacher education degree (B.Ed) are welcome to apply
