We invite applications for the position of:

Accounts Clerk

Kelowna Secondary School Under the supervision of the school Principal or designate, perform bookkeeping/accounting duties including receiving and receipting money, and maintaining records of all school financial transactions including petty cash, preparing bank reconciliation statements, and other clerical duties as assigned.Successful applicants will have: completed Grade 12 (Senior Secondary School Graduation), including commercial courses applicable to the position (bookkeeping/accounting);

six (6) months' secretarial training (Office Administration Program) at a Community College;

one (1) year previous related accounting/bookkeeping experience;

knowledge and experience with word processing skills - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel; PowerPoint, Access, Adobe), as well as Sharepoint/Outlook and other accounting programs;

a net typing speed of thirty-five (35) words per minute. Applicants will be expected to: successfully complete the District clerical assessment and the bookkeeping exam;

complete MyEd BC Level 1 & 2 training and any other relevant software training;

complete the required health & safety online training;

maintain a high quality of work including accuracy and dependability;

possess good organizational skills;

maintain excellent interpersonal skills.
