Secondary Math Teacher New Zealand

Start date: July 2024

Prospero Teaching alongside a number of Secondary Schools across New Zealand who would like to welcome Math Teachers to join their schools for a July 2024 start date. The schools are eager to hear from experienced New Zealand or overseas trained teachers, ideally who have taught right through secondary level (Grades 3-12).

Qualifications: Bachelor or Master of Education, or Post-Graduate Diploma in Education

Be eligible to work and teach in New Zealand

Received or in the process of applying for a NZQA (New Zealand Qualification Authority)

Received or in the process of registering for EC15 (Education Council)

Be willing to process a new Certified Criminal Record Check Be able to offer two professional teaching references covering the last two years

The Successful Candidate will: Have high expectations and commitment to best practice

Have excellent communication skills

Be creative and innovative

Have drive and tenacity

Be a strong team player If you're an overseas-trained teacher planning to come to New Zealand to fill a teaching vacancy or a returning New Zealand-trained teacher, you might be eligible for an Overseas Relocation Grant. This grant can provide you with financial support of up to $10,000 NZD.
