Math Teacher - Birmingham, UK

Starting date: September 2024 Prospero Teaching is working with a medium sized, mixed secondary school in Birmingham, UK. They are seeking a Math teacher to join the team in September 2024. We are working together to source a teacher who is able to teach Key stage 3 (Grades7-9), Key Stage 4 (Grades10-11) and Key stage 5 (Grades 12-13).

This secondary school is located in 30 minutes from downtown Birmingham using public transport, has a relatively low cost of living and property rental prices are very reasonable. Whether you like a quieter life or if you want to access the hustle and bustle of Birmingham, this is a great place to live.

The successful candidate will: Have excellent subject knowledge in Math

Have experience of raising attainment in a challenging classroom environment

Have a genuine belief in the potential of every child

Have high expectations for all pupils

Have a flexible can do attitude

Successfully manage classes and deal with challenging behaviour

Encourage students to reach their full potential

Be patient and have a good sense of humourQualifications: Have a Bachelor of Education or equivalent, with good standing

You hold the right to work and teach in the UK (UK Passport, Ancestry Visa, Spousal Visa or Youth Mobility Visa)

Be eligible for QTS

Have up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (Prospero offers accredited CPD training)

Successfully undergo RCMP certified criminal record checks
