Position to begin January 1, 2025

An opportunity exists for a dynamic, caring, and dedicated leader in the role of Vice-Principal at Ecole Crescent Heights High School (CHHS). This educational leader will value: a student-centered paradigm, a strong focus on continual learning, improvement and growth, and formative and outcomes-based assessment practices to improve student learning. In addition, understanding of Middle School and High School Redesign philosophy/practice and commitment to being a true team player who values collaboration. A strong focus on students and their achievement, along with a passion for excellence and fostering collaborative relationships, are traits this leader will need to demonstrate. This individual must have a strong instructional leadership background with an understanding of current and future educational practices. The successful candidate must be aligned with the values and vision of Crescent Heights High School and Medicine Hat Public School Division. Fluency in French and a commitment to extra-curricular activities would also be assets.

Crescent Heights High School has a student population of approximately 1200 students in Grades 7-12 and is located in the North Central area of the city. The CHHS learning community benefits from offering French Immersion and Middle School programming among many other student opportunities. CHHSs mission is Dedicated to Learning Committed to Community and is dedicated to preparing students for happy and successful lives as ethical citizens and engaged thinkers. CHHS is proud to offer varied and vibrant extracurricular programs for students from Grades Seven through Twelve.

This position will start for the 2023-24 school year. Employees who wish to be considered for this position should review Policy 508: Administrative Appointments and Administrative Procedures 508 P 001 and 508 P 002. A Masters Degree or currently enrolled in a Masters Program is required.
