Ross Glen School Temporary 0.5 FTE Apple School Health Facilitator Teacher For the 2024-2025 School Year The School Health Facilitator collaborates with key stakeholders to create environments in school communities that are supportive of healthy choices. This 0.5 FTE temporary position involves liaising with and providing leadership to all members of the school community including school administration, staff, students, school division staff, parents, elders, cultural leaders, and other relevant community groups or individuals. The School Health Facilitator works to facilitate a shared leadership model to implement, evaluate, and celebrate Comprehensive School Health through planned goals and actions developed by the school community. The individual chosen for this role should be prepared to support the needs of the school community for the 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidate will require knowledge of current curricula and resources related to physical education and wellness, and knowledge of existing health and wellness policies related to healthy eating and active living. The ability to organize and facilitate effective meetings and present formally and informally to various stakeholders is required. Ross Glen School is an elementary school of approximately 250 students from Early Learning and Kindergarten through to grade 6. Ross Glen School focuses on supporting learning for all students through a holistic approach to promoting creative and critical thinking, academic achievement, social commitment, athletic participation, fine arts and cultural development, and responsible utilization of technology. As an ELP - grade 6 elementary school, we offer numerous extra-curricular activities and opportunities for students to explore potential interests and expand their horizons for life-long learning, as well as to further strengthen the connections and model positive relationships within the school's learning community.
