Hours of Work 8 hours per day, 4 days per week *Incumbent is required to travel to various board locations, mileage is compensated. The Construction Assistant will work closely with the Manager of Capital Projects to assist in the coordination and supervision of construction projects including attending site meetings, monitoring contractor inquiries and consultant responses.

Qualifications: Enrolment in a post-secondary (College or University) program in Engineering or Architecture having completed a minimum of 1-year in the program

Basic understanding and knowledge of Engineering and Architecture

Proficient keyboarding, computer and word processing skills particularly in the Windows system environment using programs such as Microsoft applications

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Proven ability to gather and compile data accurately and efficiently

Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently with minimal supervision

A valid Ontario class G Drivers License and use of a personal vehicle for travel within the boards jurisdiction is required The board is seeking candidates who demonstrate the following Core Competencies:
