Invites applications for the following positions commencing July 2 to July 28, 20242 x Differentiated Learning Resource Teachers (DLRT)

Supporting Summer Learning in the Secondary Panel These positions will be based on sufficient enrollment. The DLRT position will report to the Principal of Secondary Summer School

Position: The Near North District School Board is looking for a qualified DLRT to support the delivery of summer learning programs for students at the secondary level with special education needs. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with program instructors to plan and implement summer learning programs and resources to support learner success. Staff will need to have reliable technology and internet connectivity to provide support virtually. Required Qualifications: A Valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate

A Valid Certificate of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers

Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents

Intermediate/Senior Qualifications

Special Education Qualifications - minimum Spec. Ed. Part 1 (Spec. Ed. Part 2 or Specialist preferred) Required Skills:

Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with students with multiple exceptionalities

Confidence and skills using virtual tools to engage students

Knowledge of the program accommodations students with special needs require

Proven ability to facilitate differentiated instruction

Ability to provide culturally responsive programming

Demonstrated ability to work in online platforms such as EDSBY, Teams and LMS

Ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholders (teachers, parents) to support students Only those applicants receiving an interview will be contacted. As a condition of employment, a current Criminal Reference with Vulnerable Sector Check (dated no earlier than six months prior to the end of Summer School) and WHMIS Certification are required prior to commencing employment
