Under the direction of the Team Lead of Human Resources Operations, the Human Resources Administrator - Salary Administration, is responsible for the salary administration for all employees identified under the applicable portfolio as determined by the Supervisor.
This role is a great fit for someone who is deadline driven as there is a high volume of weekly data entry work. This person will have exceptional oral and written communication skills, is highly organized and detail oriented, and has the ability to prioritize and multitask.
Responsibilities Include:
Onboarding of new employees to the Board and ensuring records are correct and up to date
Weekly salary administration and data entry for all applicable staff
Preparing salary confirmation and employment letters
Calculating experience
Tracking and processing monthly salary grid increments
Responding to inquiries from many different employee groups and outside agencies
Supporting other aspects of Operations as required
Preparing spreadsheets and reports as requested
Participating on committees and project teams as necessary
Performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Required Qualifications:
Human Resources designation and/or College diploma in Human Resources Management preferred however equivalent education and experience may also be considered
3-4 years of relevant human resources and/or administration experience
Experience using HR Information Systems (HRIS) to access, input and compile data
Experience in Google Applications (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Sites, Drive, Email, Calendar, etc)
Strong understanding of Excel using functions, filters, data sorts and pivot tables
Exemplary interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently, coordinating and prioritizing multiple assignments and the ability to take initiative
Demonstrated customer service focus and detail oriented
Excellent organizational, analytical and time management skills
Ability to learn new tasks quickly
In addition, the following will be considered an asset:
Experience using K212, Laserfiche and myOCSB
Familiar with Crystal Reports
Knowledge of Employment Standards Act, the Ontario Labour Relations Act and Service Canada Programs
Previous school board experience
This is a temporary position with an annual salary range of $61,219 to $69,189.
The anticipated start date will be June 3, 2024 and end date approximately August 29, 2025.
