requires the following

TEMPORARY FINANCE ASSISTANT

(immediately to July 4, 2025) LOCATION:

Board Office, Pembroke

HOURS PER WEEK:

35 hours per week (overtime as required), 12 months per year SUMMARY:

The Finance Assistant will provide support and assistance to the Finance Department. This position will assist with benefit Trust administration and will assist with reports for budget preparation and financial analysis including salaries and benefits. RATE OF PAY:

Annual salary grid range is approx. $61,286 - $72,605 per year TERM:

immediately to July 4, 2025 (or the return of the incumbent) Qualifications:

In order of preference

University Degree in Business with Accounting; or

Post-Secondary Diploma in Business, Accounting and/or other related field acceptable to the Board. Experience & Skills: One year of related experience in finance. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered;

Experience managing group benefit plans;

Comprehensively use software including spreadsheet, HRIS, Financial systems, word-processing, electronic mail, and calendars;

Communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing;

Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of the organization;

Demonstrate integrity, initiative and enthusiasm in achieving results;

Make appropriate, realistic and timely decisions based on consideration of facts and alternatives;

Aligned with the Boards guiding principles, goals and values;

Ability to use discretion, tact and diplomacy in dealing with confidential issues;

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;

Strong organizational and time management skills with particular attention to detail;

Ability to adapt to changes in process, systems and organizational structures.
