The Portage la Prairie School Division is committed to providing excellent educational programs to help students learn and mature. The Division believes strongly in the concept of community and promotes the provision of appropriate programs to meet the varied needs of students in regular classrooms from neighbourhood schools.

The Division is approximately 50 minutes from Winnipeg and 1,500 square kilometers in size. We have about 3,500 students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 and provide teachers and programs to schools on 9 area Hutterite colonies.

The Portage la Prairie School Division invites applications for the following administrative position: Vice-Principal at Portage Collegiate Institute commencing at the beginning of the fall term.

PCI is a 9-12 with an enrollment of approximately 1000 students and a professional staff of 100.

PCI offers a diverse academic educational programming, including French Immersion, vocational programming, career, and high school apprenticeship.

The Vice-Principal will require strong leadership abilities, will have demonstrated professional commitment and will exhibit above average interpersonal and communication skills.

Applicants are expected to have successful teaching and administrative experience.

Collective agreement in effect.

Knowledge of Student Services, Guidance, Resource, and Special Education Certificate is an asset
