Coronation Bus Depot Attendant

1 Year Term PositionClearview Public Schools invites applications for a part time Attendant at the Coronation Bus Depot located in Coronation, Alberta. The Transportation Services Department looks after the safe transportation of our 2375 students. This position is set to commence on August 19, 2024, offering a 10-hour weekly commitment. The position will continue until June 30, 2025 with the possibility of an extension. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to arrange their working hours in consultation with the Director of Transportation Services to accommodate their schedule.The hourly wage for this position is $22.75.

The position responsibilities will include: Monitoring and reporting weather and road concerns;

Scheduling drivers to shuttle buses and shuttle buses as required;

Regular communication with mechanics including assisting in scheduled maintenance of buses;

Monitoring, ordering and tracking of fluids as well as depot supplies;

Light cleaning of the bus depot and ensuring spare buses are clean and ready to be used;

Collaborating closely with the Transportation Coordinator to manage Paintearth field trip requests, as well as the collection, monitoring, and distribution of pre-trip books; and

Monitoring the depot yard, requesting snow removal, salt and gravel;

Be competent working on computers with a basic knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing applications. Preference will be given to candidates with a Class 1, Class 2, or a Class 2S MELT driving license.

Successful candidates will be required to provide a current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector prior to employment commencing.
