Job Description- Full Time Teacher (Grade TBD) Commences ASAP - June 2024

Fraser Valley School is looking for a full time PYP Teacher to support the Primary Years Programme.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Work collaboratively with others to plan and deliver programming using the PYP framework

Design and facilitate learning experiences and engagements that inspire, engage, motive, and challenge learners

Develop a caring classroom environment with positive relationships at the core

Monitor, guide, give feedback and assess student learning using a range of tools and strategies

Communicate effectively and regularly with colleagues, students, and their families

Attend and participate in school functions and events

Supervise students at recess and/or lunch breaks

Lead after school clubs or teams

Additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the Head of School and as outlined in our Staff Handbook

Be a contributor within the Fraser Valley School communityQualifications: A Bachelor of Education, with a focus on Elementary Education

Hold a valid BC teaching certificate

IB PYP Training is considered an asset

Experience teaching in an elementary setting, ideally in an independent IB PYP school

Passion and commitment to inquiry-based and concept driven instruction

Experience coaching an elementary sports team is considered an asset

Canadian residency and be legally entitled to work in Canada

First Aid Certificate

Strong classroom management skills
