RIVER ROAD COLONY SCHOOL

Regular Assistant 26 hours/week

(Monday Thursday - 8:55 a.m. 3:30p.m; Friday 8:40 11:40)

River Road Colony School is located east of Milk River (from Milk River, 14 km east on highway 501, 7.3 km south on Range Rd 151 (road curves and turns into range road 150), 2.3 km east on township road 20).

Ideally, candidates will:

-be prepared to always demonstrate respect for Hutterite culture, traditions and beliefs

-have knowledge of, or be willing to learn, sign language (ASL and/or SEE)

-have a positive attitude about children, learning and schools

-have a critical role in instruction, under the supervision of the teacher

-be able to work well independently and with the teacher

-be able to learn from, and work with, a team of service providers

-this assignment includes mainly one-on-one support, with some support for the whole class

-support English Language Learners in language acquisition
