The Opportunity:

A key member of the Academics team, the Administrative Assistant, Academics will provide administrative support to the Academics department, which includes managing calendars, preparing materials and coordinating and supporting school events such as Curriculum Night, Parent-Teacher meetings, and parent information nights. Reporting to the Assistant Head, Academics, the Assistant will maintain the Ontario Student Records for the Senior and Middle School, ensuring transfer of records for new students, students from the Junior School to the Senior and Middle School and keeping records up to date. The successful candidate will also provide administrative and logistical support to key initiatives at the school such as updating internal databases with class information, course selections and timetabling processes and will participate in exam coordination. With the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, the Assistant enjoys working within a team and is able to work independently.

Candidate Profile:

This is an exciting time for an experienced administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join a new team.

The ideal candidate takes a can do approach, is systems and solution oriented and can work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders. In addition, the successful candidate holds a post-secondary degree and/or a diploma in a related field with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience. Previous experience working in a school environment would be considered a strong asset.

With fine attention to detail and a customer service orientation, you have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as superior technology skills, including proficiency in MS office, and Google Suite. Familiarity with databases such as Managebac, Trevlac, UCAS, OUAC, and Naviance (database systems) would be an asset.
