With a staff of 14,000, the Toronto Catholic is a dynamic school board and is seeking a full time System Administrator-Technology Infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Three (3) year College Diploma in Information Technology i.e., Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience

Minimum Two (2) years experience with increased responsibilities performing technical support, system administration of the enterprise infrastructure for a large scale, multi- location enterprise environment

Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification is an asset

Extensive experience and knowledge and skills with Windows operating systems (Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022), Domain Controllers, Active Directory and Azure AD, Digital Certificates, PowerShell and scripting, Microsoft Clustering, Microsoft 365 applications and IT security concepts and best practices.

Proven knowledge and system administration experience with Citrix environment and other virtual desktop and application infrastructures

Proven knowledge and experience with System Centre (SCOM and SCCM), Azure IaaS (Infrastructure As A Service), Azure Application Insight, Aure Monitor, Qualys VMDR, VMware, Enterprise SAN/NAS storage management (Dell Unity preferred) and Enterprise backup system (Dell EMC Networker and Data Domain preferred)

Proven networking knowledge and skills with TCP/IP (subnets, VLANs, ports, routing), DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, VPN, IPSEC, SSL, Secure FTP

Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work with technical, administrative and academic teams as well as external vendors and consultants

Well-developed project management, organizational, follow-up, teamwork, oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail and independent decision making and problem-solving abilities

Availability to work outside core office hours, as required MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to Senior Manager Technology Infrastructure, the primary function of this position is for the effective administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the enterprise infrastructure systems and services. Major duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following: Perform system administration tasks of infrastructure environment for Azure IaaS, enterprise monitoring, VMware, Active Directory, Azure AD, storage, backup, and Citrix

Plan and implement monthly security patches on firmware, OS (Operating System), system, application and tools

Define and perform implementation plans for server and system configuration changes, upgrades and migrations

Perform system monitoring and mitigation of infrastructure system, application and security events

Execute the validation of the infrastructure DR plan and support of the data backup and recovery processes

Perform problem identification, troubleshooting, investigation, analysis, and documentation of server, system and application issues and develop action plans for resolution

Responsible for timely resolution of server, system and application related incidents and problem tickets/tasks and escalated technical issues

Prepare, update and maintain infrastructure documentation and advisories that includes system technical and functional specifications, server or system related operational policies, standards, procedures, guidelines and checklists, and end-user documentation and advisories

Assist with research and evaluation of new technology and audit and review of current computing environment

Provide guidance to vendor partners and technical training, supervision and evaluation of support staff as required

Perform other duties as requiredNote: This position will require the incumbent to be available for on call and scheduled support activities after hours. Travel to schools and other Board sites may also be required. Diversity and Inclusion:
