Pembina Hills School Division invites applications for the position of a temporary Educational Assistant based out of R.F. Staples Secondary School.

Staples, located in Westlock, Alberta, approximately 90 km northwest of Edmonton, our vision is that all students will gain the knowledge, skills and attitudes to be dedicated, self-reliant, responsible, contributing members of society.

The Position

The successful candidate must be a self-directed team player who is interested in providing support and encouragement to students with a diversity of learning needs. Hours of work will be Monday-Friday at 6.5 hours/day following the school calendar. Duties are to commence as soon as possible and will end April 18, 2024, with the possibility of an extension.

Qualifications: Experience working with Junior and Senior High students would be an asset

Able to work with Junior and Senior High students with a diversity of learning needs

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults

Ability to work with students with limited formal language

Applicants should be willing to work with a team of support staff and willing to be flexible in their assignments

Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed
