Our Production Control team is looking for a dedicated Business Analyst to join Canadian Tire. As the successful incumbent in this role you will be involved with every facet of the operations within the distribution centre such as capital projects, change management, 5S initiatives, manpower planning, product slotting, and continuous improvement to name a few.

The environment is fast paced and requires an individual who has good organizational skills, sound analytical ability, capacity to communicate at all levels and the ability to work in a team or independently. The Business Analyst will be responsible for investigating and analyzing business processes and systems with the objective to develop and implement process improvement initiatives using Canadian Tire Project Management Methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, document and implement business opportunities that contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and decision making within the team and the Brampton Distribution Centre
  • Carry out detailed root cause analysis and investigation on various Distribution Centre processes, functions and material handling systems
  • Analyze, explain results and investigate trends in order to provide insight to our business partners, management team on strategic projects or in other analytical areas
  • Develop business requirements, business cases and cost benefit analyses for assigned projects
  • Develop and design new business and systems processes
  • Provide support to develop divisional and departmental plans and strategies
  • Develop and deliver communication within change management methodology to key stakeholders
  • Create and maintain documentation and schedules for initiatives
  • Provide project status updates and informal updates on an as needed basis to stakeholder groups
  • Participate in initiatives that contribute to the development of new Resource placement strategies and coordinate and support their rollout
  • Produce regular & adhoc reporting and analysis
  • Enhance on-going reporting to provide visibility and benefit operations
Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary education in Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related experience
  • Thorough understanding of Supply Chain processes (3 to 4 years experience)
  • Understanding of Project Management methodology
  • Demonstrated planning, report writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Experience with labour and process measurement techniques
  • Experience with programming and database theory and development
  • Experience in the execution of business case investigations
  • Experience in CTC Distribution operations, systems and processes, and material handling systems
