IBM is leading the way in the Information Security space and our Managed Security Services Delivery team is looking to expand and onboard an IT Application Specialist to join our Security Operations Center support team.
Apply your technical know-how to manage and support a multi-application deployment, which host complex security solutions. You'll support all application related components and will be required to ensure currency, health, availability and performance of expertly engineered application deployment which is crucial to a Security Operations Center.
Deliverables include deployment and integration activities, application management, event/log analysis, service-level reporting, risk and contingency planning. Support-related responsibilities include Day to day monitoring, troubleshooting, patch management, access management, and health and availability management of the application(s) deployed.
Leverage your In-depth knowledge and proven proficiency in Managing PIM, BigFix, ICD, Lotus Notes and Nagios deployment(s) in support of a Security Operations Center.
You will be expected to engage, analyse and rectify aforementioned application related issues / problems efficiently and quickly.
You will establish a process to automate, track and implement application system solutions.
You will be expected to participate in setting strategic direction of application systems deployed.
You will be expected to modify applications and application systems to meet current security standards.
You will be expected to exercise your expertise, principles and practices of system configuration management and a broad understanding of the role of desired configuration as a part of strategic organization knowledge.
You will be expected to use various tools to monitor, maintain and trouble shoot aforementioned application configurations end-to-end.
Rely on your strong technical ability to troubleshoot problems in a large enterprise involving complex network application flows between multiple hosts spanning multiple firewalls/security zones and different geographic locations
Additional information: A successful applicant possesses the ability to provide day to day steady state support of a crucial zero down time infrastructure, hosing a multi-tenant environment performing incident, problem, and change management. Skills ranging from excellent teamwork, communication both oral and written and the ability to quickly assimilate technical and non-technical information are required.
