What is the opportunity?

You will play a key role in CBO (Canadian Banking Operations) Data & Analytics COE to support a number of strategic priorities which advance data analytics and governance capability in Operations. The role will lead and participate in a number of initiatives to work with our key business and enterprise partners to analyze large data sets, create/scale data science models and support data pipelines for prioritized use cases.


What will you do?

  • Work with large data sets (both structured and unstructured) across multiple source systems for extraction, processing, exploration and analysis
  • Supporting engineering of data pipelines end to end to support prioritized business insight use cases
  • Build and apply advanced statistical and deep learning models (data mining, forecasting, supervised machine learning, natural language processing etc.) as appropriate to test business hypotheses and built data products
  • Data storage management. Gather, combine and aggregate data from different data sources into Cloud and standardized CBO data storage.


What do you need to succeed?


  • Experience with Python, SQL programming
  • Strong data profiling, cleaning, and mining skills. Ability to perform complex data analysis on large volumes of data and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal



  • Experience with Hadoop Data Lake, Datameer
  • Experience with Tensorflow or PyTorch
  • Relevant Cloud certification
  • Experience in business ops centers or national office functions around forecasting and capacity planning
